The Draw Tools allow you to add simple shapes and markers to your map. These are perfect for highlighting key locations, outlining boundaries, or displaying external media.
You will find these tools in the Top Toolbar of the Builder.
Available Tools

Point | Drops a marker icon on a specific location |
Line | Draws a straight or curved path |
Polygon | Draws a filled shape to outline an area |
Embed | Creates a marker that opens an interactive window (iFrame) to display websites, videos or documents directly inside Swyvl. |
Part 1: How to Draw & Add Info
π Adding a Point
Select the Point tool from the Toolbar.
Click anywhere on the map to drop the marker.
Immediate Action: An empty Info Box will automatically pop up on the map.
Click Edit on the pop-up to add a Title, Description, Image, or Link.
Click Done to save.
β Drawing a Line
Select the Line tool.
Click on the map to place points along the path.
To finish, Double-click the final point (or click Save Line in the toolbar).
Immediate Action: An empty Info Box will automatically pop up on the map.
Click Edit on the pop-up to add a Title, Description, Image, or Link.
Click Done to save.
πΊ Drawing a Polygon
Select the Polygon tool.
Click to place each corner of the shape.
To finish, click back on your starting point (or click Save Polygon in the toolbar).
Immediate Action: An empty Info Box will automatically pop up on the map.
Click Edit on the pop-up to add a Title, Description, Image, or Link.
Click Done to save.
π Adding an Embed Point
Use this to display live content (like a YouTube video or a website) inside a pop-up window.
Select the Embed tool.
Enter your URL (iFrame link) when prompted.
The point will automatically drop in the center of your screen.
Click and drag the point to move it to the correct location.
Note: Embed supports any publicly accessible URL.
Part 2: Styling Your Shapes
To change the look of an item, click it to open the Properties Panel on the right and go to the Styling Tab.
Enable Custom Styling: You must toggle on Enable custom icon styling to make changes.
Customize: Change the icon, size, color, or opacity.
π‘ Pro Tip: Bulk Styling You can style multiple items at once by putting them into a Folder in the Project Data sidebar. Apply the styling to the Folder, and all items inside will update automatically.
Part 3: Managing Properties
The Properties Panel (right sidebar) offers more control beyond the pop-up.
Details Tab. Open the Properties Panel by clicking the settings icon in the Project Data Sidebar for the item (or folder) you want to edit.
Details Tab
Rename: Give your item a clear name for the sidebar list.
Hide Info Box: Toggle this ON if you want the shape to be purely visual (no pop-up when clicked).
Manage Tab
Navigate To: Add the item to the Viewer's quick-select menu.
Delete: Remove the item from your project.
