An Info Box is the interactive panel that appears when a viewer clicks on a Point, Line, or Polygon. It is the best way to add context—like site photos, safety instructions, or links to documents—without cluttering the map view.
The 4 Elements of an Info Box
Unlike a simple text note, Swyvl Info Boxes are structured to look professional automatically. They consist of:
Title: The main header (e.g., "Site Office").
Description: A text area for details, instructions, or notes.
Image: A prominent photo displayed at the top of the box.
Action Button: A clickable button at the bottom to drive users to external content (e.g., "View Report").
How to Add & Edit Content
Method 1: Immediate Edit (Best for new items)
When you first draw a Point, Line, or Polygon, an empty Info Box automatically pops up on the screen.
Click Edit on the pop-up.
Fill in the details immediately.
Click Done.
Method 2: Editing Existing Items
Go to the Project Data sidebar.
Locate your item (Point, Line, or Polygon).
Click the "i" Icon next to the item name.
This opens the Info Box Editor, where you can fill in the Title, Description, Image, and Button Link.
Managing Visibility (The Properties Panel)
If you want to change the item's name or disable the pop-up entirely, use the Properties Panel instead.
Click the item on the map (or the Settings/Gear Icon in the sidebar).
Go to the Details Tab.
Here you can:
Rename: Change the name of the item as it appears in the sidebar list.
Hide Info Box: Toggle this ON if you want the shape to be purely visual. When enabled, nothing will happen if a user clicks the shape.
