What Is Path View?
Path View is best when you’ve captured 360 photos in a sequence along a route — such as a road, path, or corridor — and want them to be automatically placed and connected using GPS data.
This is done by matching the photo timestamps with a GPX file that records the path taken during capture.
Step 1: Prepare Your GPX File
Use a GPS-enabled device or app to record your path while taking 360 photos. This will generate a .gpx file with timestamped location data.

Step 2: Upload Your GPX and 360 Photos
In the Builder, click 360 Photo in the Toolbar
Select Path View
Upload your GPX file when prompted
Then, upload your 360 photos (JPEG, 2:1 ratio)
Swyvl will use the photo timestamps to automatically position and connect them along the path defined in the GPX file.
🛠 Note: If any photos fall outside the GPX timeline, Swyvl will highlight them as errors. Remove these photos before continuing to the next step.
Step 3: Review
Your photos will now appear:
Positioned along the route
Linked with navigation arrows
Grouped into a Path View folder in the Project Data sidebar
In most cases, no adjustments are needed — but if you want to refine the experience:
Height: If a photo looks too high or low, adjust it in the Placement tab
North Offset: Tweak the viewing direction if needed
Connections: Use Edit Pano Connections to manually add or remove navigation arrows
Step 4: Publish Your Tour
When everything looks right:
Click Publish to Viewer
Click Republish after future changes to keep the tour updated
