Swyvl offers a flexible styling system that ensures your projects look professional and on-brand. You can set global defaults for your entire organization or customize specific workspaces for different clients.
1. The Branding Hierarchy
Swyvl applies branding in a "layered" approach. Settings applied at the top level automatically trickle down, but can be overridden at lower levels.
Level | Scope | Best Used For |
Organization | All Workspaces & Projects | Setting your company logo and primary brand color as the default. |
Workspace | Specific Projects | Overriding the company brand for a specific client (eg using the Client's logo) |
Folder | Group of Items | Bulk Styling - applying a specific color or icon to a whole category of data (eg "All Hazard Pins") |
Individual Item | Single Pin/Line | Specific exceptions. This level overrides all others. |
2. Setting Global Branding (Logos & Colors)
You can upload a Logo and set a Default Brand Color.
Logo: Appears in the Viewer header and the Loading Screen.
Brand Color: Becomes the default color for all new pins and polygons.
How to set it:
Organization Level: Go to Organization Settings. These changes apply to everything you create.
Workspace Level: Go to Workspace Settings. Any changes here will override the Organization settings for projects inside this workspace.
3. Bulk Styling with Folders
Using Folders is the fastest way to manage the look of your data without editing items one by one.
Group Your Data: In the Project Data sidebar, move related items (like all your "Fire Extinguisher" points) into a single folder.
Open Settings: Click the Settings Icon next to the Folder name.
Apply Style: Go to the Styling Tab and set the color, icon, or opacity.
Result: Every item inside that folder will instantly update to match the folder's style.
4. Customizing Individual Items
If a specific item needs to stand out (e.g., a "Critical Issue" pin among standard issue pins), you can override the folder or global style.
Click the item on the map or sidebar to open the Properties Panel.
Go to the Styling Tab.
Toggle Enable custom icon styling (for points) and adjust the styling directly.
This specific change will persist even if you change the Folder or Global branding later.
