Can I upload a PDF site plan?

Fixing Map Issues

Why are my items appearing underground?

This often happens if you are using the Google 3D Tiles basemap (which has uneven terrain) or if the drone metadata height is incorrect.

  • Fix: Select the item, open the Properties Panel > Placement Tab, and adjust the Height value until it sits correctly on the surface.

  • Alternatively, switch to a different basemap style such as Google Satellite or OpenStreetMaps

Why is my floor plan cut off by the ground?

If your floor plan intersects with the 3D terrain, it may look "clipped".

  • Fix: increase the height above ground level in the Properties Panel by 1-2 meters.

Can I turn off the map entirely?

No, the map is the foundation of Swyvl and cannot be switched off.

Can I disable some of the Basemap styles?

No, you cannot currently disable the Basemap styles.

Building & Editing

How do I link 360 photos together?

  1. Manual: Click a photo on the map and select Edit Pano Connections (top-right toolbar) to draw lines between them.

  2. Automatic: Upload a GPX file with your photos to link them via GPS data.

Can I take measurements inside a 360 photo?

No. The measurement tool currently only works on the map view, not inside the 360 environment.

Can I stack multiple floor plans?

Yes. You can upload multiple floor plans and assign each a different height.

Can I set the start view of a 360 photo?

Swyvl does not currently have the option to set the start view of a 360 photo.

Publishing & Sharing

How do I set the Start View (Home View)

  1. Move the map to your desired angle/zoom.

  2. Open Project Settings (sidebar). Scroll to Starting Camera. Click Set as Current.

  3. Republish your project.

    • Note: Setting the starting camera does not save the Basemap selection. You must select your preferred Basemap at the time of publishing publishing.

Does the share link change if I update the project?

No. Your main project link remains the same forever, no matter how many times you "Republish".

How do I share a specific location?

Navigate to the exact view you want to share and click the Share Icon in the bottom right toolbar. This generates a unique link to that exact camera angle.

Account & Organization

Can I rename a Workspace?

Currently, you aren't able to rename a Workspace. If this is an issue, reach out to [email protected] and we will be able to pull some strings in the backend to update the Workspace name.

Where does the logo appear in Swyvl?

Your organization's logo will appear in three key places:

  • in the Builder

  • on the Loading Screen when a project is opened

  • in the Viewer (desktop only, not mobile version).

How do I unsubscribe or cancel my plan?

You can manage your subscription directly in the platform.

  1. Go to Organization Settings.

  2. Navigate to the Billing tab.

  3. Here you can view your current plan, update payment methods, or cancel your subscription.

How do I check my data usage?

To see how much storage or data your organization is using:

  1. Go to Organization Settings.

  2. Check the Usage or Billing tab.

  3. This dashboard displays your current consumption against your plan's limits.

I can't remember my password

Swyvl doesn't use passwords! Instead, we use a Magic Link sent to your email.

I didn't receive the Magic Link email to login

  • Check your Spam or Junk folder.

  • Wait 1-2 minutes, as email servers can sometimes be slow.

  • If it still hasn't arrived, return to the login page and click the link again.
