Publishing Your Project

Learn how to take your project live and make it accessible to viewers.

Updated today

Publishing is the final step in your workflow. It takes the project from the Builder (where you edit data) and pushes it to the Viewerβ€”a clean, interactive mode where users can explore the map without seeing any editing tools.

How to Publish

  1. Open your project in the Builder.

  2. Click the Publish to Viewer button in the top-right corner of the screen.

  3. A configuration window will appear. You can optionally set a Password here if you want to restrict access.

  4. Click Publish to make the project live.

  5. You will be given a Shareable Link that you can copy and send to anyone.

Updating a Published Project

When you make changes in the Builder (like adding a new pin or changing a color), those changes are not immediately visible to your viewers. You must "push" them to the live version.

  1. Make your edits in the Builder.

  2. Click Publish to Viewer in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Republish.

    • Note: Your shareable link remains the same. You do not need to send a new link to your users.

Unpublishing (Taking it Offline)

If you need to remove a project from public view entirely:

  1. Click Publish to Viewer in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Unpublish.

  3. The link will stop working immediately, and users will no longer be able to access the project.

Privacy Options

During the publishing process, you can toggle on Password Protection.

  • Enabled: Viewers must enter the password to see the map.

  • Disabled: Anyone with the link can view the map.

  • You can change this setting at any time by clicking "Publish to Viewer" and toggling the option before Republishing.
